Over the past 10 years since we opened Between The Lines, our process has been perfected through experimenting with the various techniques and exploring inventive winemaking methods led by our winemakers Greg and Yannick Wertsch. The result is a distinguished portfolio of wines that possess a precise flavour and appeal to new wine drinkers and the most seasoned palates. It all happens here in the Big Red Barn on our stunning property in NOTL. Our modern-rustic space houses our cellar and acts as both a tasting room and our clubhouse. A family of passionate individuals that love all things vinous. We have been making wine in the area for over a decade, and this is our first project on our own. We source only the best fruit from the Niagara region, working closely with growers that share our attention to detail and pursuit of the highest quality. Focusing on wild fermentation and the appassimento winemaking method (kiln drying of the grapes), Big Head Wines is producing small-batch artisanal wines. We hope you enjoy!

The Lakeit family – with a half-century of farming history behind them – opened Caroline Cellars in 2002. Focusing on fresh and approachable wines made by Rick Lakeit and Assistant Winemaker, Victor Blaney, the award-winning portfolio includes both white and red varietals, a small selection of fruit wine and critically acclaimed and awarded Icewine. The Farmhouse Café is open for lunch year-round and focuses on relaxed Wine Country fare.

This family estate winery is set among 35-hectares of pristine vines in the St. David’s Bench. Founded in 1978 by Canadian wine-industry visionary Paul Bosc, the winery continues to innovate with pioneering viticulture research. Wines ranging from well-structured single-vineyard wines to bold reds built for aging, are crafted by Amélie Boury from grapes grown on the winery’s own farms using sustainable farming techniques.

Colaneri is a family-owned winery that hand-harvests grapes to produce premium VQA award-winning wines from its surrounding vineyards. Most of the red, white, and dessert wines are made in the traditional Italian Appassimento method of drying grapes.The large portfolio of wines include Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto styles. The Romanesque-style winery features a panoramic view of the vineyard and Escarpment.

Opening their doors August 2017, this is Niagara-on-the-Lake’s newest family winery. Focused on handcrafted quality from the vineyard to the bottle. Situated on 40 acres of land, all grapes are hand-picked and 100% estate grown. This boutique winery offers a large portfolio of award-winning VQA wines, all crafted by Winemaker Vincenzo De Simone. Drea Kaiser, daughter or iconic winemaker and co-founder of Inniskillin Wines Karl J. Kaiser, founded Drea’s Wine Co. in memory of her father in 2019. The wines in the collection are bright, fresh and bone dry with an emphasis on the natural fruit flavours of each varietal making them exceptionally food-friendly wines, the wine style that she and her father loved best for Ontario wines. The collection is crafted at Reif Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where they are available for sale and are also available for delivery across Canada

The 60 acre fallow land was carefully selected by owners Adnan and Elif ICEL based on precise research of ideal growing conditions for premium vinifera varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petite Verdot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Viognier.

As the first estate winery in Canada, Inniskillin Wines continues the quest to balance both the art and science of winemaking with the utmost skill and attention to quality. As one notable Canadian wine writer wrote “Inniskillin is not so much bound by tradition, as inspired by it.”

Joseph’s Estate Wines Inc. is located in the heart of Niagara’s Wine Country. The 20-acre estate winery has been recognized within the industry and abroad for producing a variety of Premium Award-Winning VQA Red and White Wines.

Friederich Konzelmann left the culinary trade to pursue the craft of winemaking. Bolstered from previous success in producing house wines for his restaurants, Friederich officially released his first vintage to the public in 1893. He would eventually produce 200,000 litres of excellent wine per year from an array of Germany’s celebrated aromatic varietals.

Planted in the 1970s by the Lailey family and still grown with love and passion today. Originally providing crops to local wineries, it was only natural for Lailey to make the move from grape growers to winemakers, adding Derek Barnett to the team. With hard work, and a whole lot of love, the Lailey name become synonymous with locally grown, small batch artisan premium wines. You can taste the creativity and passion that pours out of every bottle coming from the early days.

Maleta specializes in premium and ultra-premium VQA (Vintners' Quality Alliance) Ontario wines such as its flagship Meritage, an award-winning Bordeaux-style, oak-aged red wine produced from high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes grown at the property.

The first commercial vintage of the winery was in 1990 with the retail store opening its doors in 1991. John, Adriana & family put their heart and soul into running one of Niagara's first wineries! Over the decades, John won multiple awards for his wines, and became a destination for red wine lovers all over the country.

Niagara College Teaching Winery

Centre for wine education in the Niagara Peninsula and is the only fully licensed teaching winery in Canada. With the focus on quality education, we believe in preparing students for work in the "real" world. Our graduates then enter an exciting career with a wine industry employer in winery operations, viticulture, sales/marketing and wine business management.

We are now open for outdoor garden tasting! Our hours are 11am to 5pm daily in May. Starting on May 30th, we are open daily 11am to 6pm. We look forward to seeing you!

De Stefano, a Toronto resident who works in finance, and his wife Sula, acquired an abandoned farm on seven acres on Line 3 Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The name of the winery is derived from the acreage, though there are now only five acres planted on the property to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with another eight adjoining acres purchased and getting prepped for planting.

Perridiso Estate Winery is one of the newest and fastest growing wineries in the Niagara Region. Located on the St. David's Bench, this escarpment ridge is a carving landscape which reveals rich layers of soil and fertile vineyards. Such character is rejected in the deep layers of complexity of all wines produced at Perridiso Estate Winery. We pride ourselves on making premium wines the old fashioned way with minimal mechanical intervention, hard work, and joy to be harvesting from the land. Within a short period of launching our wines, Perridiso can be found in some of the best dining establishments in the Niagara Region.

Pillitteri Estates Winery has won over 800 wine awards from both local and international competitions. Many of our most prestigious awards are on display in our gallery at the entrance to the winery. In addition to wine awards the winery has received high praise from wine writers the world over. We are extremely proud of all the recognition we receive as it is a testament to our winemaking philosophy and our vision for the continued growth of the Ontario wine industry.

Our family-owned winery is headed by Luciano (Lou) Puglisi who draws on grape-growing knowledge and experience that has been handed down from one generation to the next. As you sip any one of PondView's wines, you are tasting three generations of grape-growing and winemaking experience.

One of the newest boutique wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake comes to you from dedicated industry veterans. Queenston Mile is focused on crafting small-lot sparkling wine, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from one of Niagara’s most award-winning vineyards atop the St. David’s Bench. Queenston Mile is about dedication, respecting tradition, learning the craft and knowing nothing good ever comes easy. Every bottle is a tribute to the year, the fruit and the people who make it.

Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery is located in the heart of St. Davids and has a past dating back to the early 1800’s. Known in the early days as the Upper Lowrey Farm, Ravine has been kept from residential development so that visitors from far and wide can witness the deep roots that connect our family and this remarkable farm.

Our vineyard is located in Ontario's warmest sub-appellation, ideal for the production of rich full-bodied wines. But time matters too. Our farm is also home to some of the oldest vinifera plantings in Canada, a benefit to growers in cooler climates like Ontario, as mature vines ripen earlier. They also produce wines that reflect the 'terroir', so when you taste our wines you will taste the essence of our vineyard.

Currently, approximately 23 acres of the property are under vine in 18 demarcated blocks at an average density of 900 vines/acre. We like to focus on French and German cool-climate white varietals, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurztraminer. The vineyard is also outfitted with the primary Bordeaux varietals Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.

At Southbrook we make every effort to live in harmony with the land. From our biodynamic, organic vineyard we produce fine age-worthy wines, most notably Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, classic Bordeaux blends and Chardonnays.
