MOVIES FILMED IN NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE

When Michael Calls

Helen starts to receive calls from a child who claims to be her nephew Michael--but Michael died 15 years ago. When Michael calls, he berated Helen's acquaintances, who then die under suspicious circumstances. Helen soon begins to fear that she will be the next victim.

The Dead Zone

Christopher Walken wakes from a coma due to a car accident, only to find he has lost five years of his life, and yet gained psychic powers. Foreseeing the future appears to be a 'gift' at first, but ends up causing problems...

Trapped in Paradise

aims for the lowest common denominator and clears it. Christmas films are supposed to be about altruism, cheer, and the unfaltering power of the human spirit. Instead, we find a film that pokes fun at people with down syndrome, three-legged dogs, violent car crashes, and speech impediments.

The Experts

John Travolta and Arye Gross star as two hip but down-on-their-luck New Yorkers who think they're relocating to a small town in Nebraska to open a nightclub. What they don't know is that they've been abducted by a KGB operative

Christmas Inheritance was filmed in North Bay, Ontario from March 24, 2017 to April 8, 2017 and Niagara-on-the-Lake earlier in March. The Grand Victorian bed and breakfast played a starring role for many Snow Falls shots, with Old Town standing in for Snow Falls in many scenes. The production crew put a lot of work into giving this springtime movie a beautiful, wintry feel that we’ve come to love in holiday films. (Interestingly, just about 10 days before the movie filmed, a big snowstorm hit nearby.)

The Holiday Calendar

This movie has a number of locales familiar to Niagara-on-the-Lake locals. It features ice skating in Simcoe Park, coffee at Balzac’s Café, dinner at the Prince of Wales Hotel.

This film tells the story of a photographer who inherits an antique holiday advent calendar with a special twist: its contents seem to predict the future.

THE REF

Denis Leary plays an unfortunate cat burglar who becomes trapped in a fate worse than jail when he takes a bickering couple (Kevin Spacey, Judy Davis) and their annoying relatives hostage. Before long, they're driving him nuts, and the line between who is whose hostage begins to blur. His only hope for survival is to act as their referee and resolve their differences - or its going to mean instant insanity for everyone! Spend a hysterically funny evening with The Ref - you're sure to experience an irreverent and fun-filled time!
